What do you want to be known for?
The knowledge that I'm sharing with you will not just apply to dance, but will carry weight through your entire life.
Want to make a million dollars? Cool.
Want to be a professional dancer? Great.
It doesn't matter how big it seems or how impossible it feels. It's possible. You can do it.
There will be people who try and tell you no. There will be people who will tell you, you're not good. There will be people who will try and bring you down. Those people exist and that's just the way it is.
But what we have to do is redirect our focus and change our meaning. If you can do that alone, your whole life will change. Immediately.
Stand how you want to fill first. Embrace that and the emotion will come.
Each one of you, comes from a different culture, comes from a different state, different backgrounds and your ages are different. That's the beauty about this team, you're not all the same. And because you're not all the same, you can all be one.
Where one of you struggles in one thing another excels, where one person motivates another inspires, where one person stops another breaks through. You all have specific skills and strengths that each of you feed off of.
So not only is it your responsibility to give your best every practice, because you deserve it, but because everyone deserves it. And by you giving your best, you inspire someones else to give their best, subconsciously, without them even realizing it.
That's how you become champions; not because the judge says so, but because you say so.
You don't to hold a trophy to be a champion
You don't need a metal to prove you're a champion. To be able to lay down and say I gave it my all; regardless of the outcome, to know you gave it your all and to know that there's not one more practice you could have done.
Have you given it your all, every practice, every minute because the time is running out.
NO TIME WASTED.
Everyday, you have a choice. You can get up, you can do more than you did yesterday, you can ask more questions, you can give more, inspire more or you can hit snooze... three times. And do the same thing as yesterday and live with the feeling of knowing there's more but you see to get there.
There's no worse feeling than that; knowing you're not living to your fullest potential.
Can you give 100%?
Can you demonstrate that?
Can you be known for being fierce, ferocious and unlimited?
Can you put tears in peoples eyes because of how much emotion you're sharing with them!?
They only way to do that is to trust each other and give it your all.
Will you change the world?
Until next time,
- James
